It's All About Controlling The Experience

You've started your business.  You've got a great sign outside, you've run some advertising, and people have begun to trickle in.  Now that you've got them inside your doors, what are you telling them about who you are?  What are you doing to help them gain confidence in you and your brand?  How are you earning their future business, and establishing a loyal customer relationship?

How are you setting yourself apart from the hundreds, maybe thousands of other choices that consumers can make?  You say you've gone to great lengths providing a safe location, good products and services, even set the thermostat inside so that your tarket market customer will feel comfortable in your store and will want to linger.  And then what? An Example To Ponder

Recently, at a well known theme park, where their preparation and attention to every detail is legendary, we, with many others, were waiting our turn in line to enter a popular attraction.  On a hot August day in Florida, everything about the experience was poised to exert a negative influence on most everyone in line, and yet, it didn't.  Why?  Because we were in the hands of people who understood (as Meister-Home does) that it's all about controlling the customers' experience both individually and collectively.  It was as simple as a sign stating, "30 minutes from this point" at the point where we were in line.  We can tell you that it will never take 30 minutes from that point in line--it will always take less.  The result? When we reached the front of the line and it had only taken 15 minutes? Everybody was pleased!  The attraction provide the maximum positive experience value because of the care that was taken to control our collective experience.
